Register for a free Computer Vet workshop at Odegaard Library on Jan. 22 that will teach you how to protect your computer from malware and viruses. You will scan your laptop for viruses, set up virus protection, and learn to keep your computer safe, including how to create better passwords and internet safety tips. Open to UW students, faculty and staff, the workshop is 3:30 to 5 p.m. in room 320. Bring a laptop. Space is limited, so register early.
