A full-day workshop on Feb. 22, 2019, introduced UW students, faculty and staff to the basics of machine learning, an approach to Artificial Intelligence, and how to apply deep learning techniques to a range of computer vision tasks. While machine learning uses algorithms that parse and learn data inputs, deep learning structures layers of algorithms to create an artificial neural network that can logically learn and make decisions from data inputs. Sign up today for the online, asynchronous course, Accessibility 10: Principles of Inclusive Design, from March 4 through March 29. Expected times commitments are 2-4 hours per week.
